About the Event
We are more than happy to invite you to our annual open seminar with Iain Abernethy, this year taking place on Sunday 13th September 2026.
The focus of the day will be on the applications and drills of Kushanku / Kanku-Dai / Kosokun-Dai. This kata is believed to encapsulate the essential teachings of a Chinese military officer named Kushanku (also pronounced as “Kosokun”). It includes fundamental techniques such as default covers, limb control, locking, striking, gripping, and throws. The seminar will explore these methods and provide drills for practice.
The session will run from 12:30 until 16:30, some light bites and refreshments will also be provided throughout the day.
